This is very nice little Dickson round action at a price point one seldom sees for one of these fine guns. Built in 1887 when the Dickson round action was gaining in popularity, this gun shows off the classic round action and fine engraving they were capable during that period. Note the very nice wood. The balance is excellent, it feels much lighter than the listed weight due to this great balance.

The sleeving, done and proofed in England, is well done, being very hard to see even on close inspection.

There is something about these Scottish guns that just captivate me. The understated Teutonic use of horn and stock accents that give the guns an ever so slightly different look than the guns from England. The attention to detail, high craftsmanship, and balance I have always admired and this is fantastic example from one of Edinburgh's most famous makers.

This is a classic Boswell with excellent barrels having good walls with a bright clean bores and a beautiful Damascus pattern. There is still some case hardening left on the exceptionally executed near full coverage scroll engraving. Whoever the engraver was he or she was a master. Note the modern stock dimensions and the choice of chokes for a long and a close shot. We have found through a search of the original ledgers (Thank you Chris Batha owner of Charles Boswell) that this shotgun was completed in September of 1903 and was purchased by one F.H. Manley and was delivered to his agent in Alexandria Egypt. Fascinating!

This German gun has great full coverage engraving, side clips, cocking indicators, and extra grade wood work. Ivory inlays on the forend and drop points are a nice touch. Notice we can ship direct, no FFL needed on this great Westley. The stock extension is professional and near invisible but we could have a best quality leather covered pad installed for $300.00. The LOP then would be about 14 3/16". The vintage English case has a great Westley label. Note latch is missing from the case lock.

W. Richards of Liverpool serial number records are listed in Nigel Browns book "British Gunmakers - Volume II." Using these records I was interested to find this gun dates to early in 1946. In WWII, the Germans surrendered May 7 1945. Was this gun under construction in England when the war ended? The Engraving and craftsmanship on this fine double is outstanding. Every fiber in my body tells me this gun has stories to tell. Are you a good listener?

The gold name, fine scroll, and deep chisel fences expertly executed scream quality. This gun is extremely sound and field ready. Did you note the weight? This is the same weight as an English 16 gauge!

Better than to just carry, this little gun was built to swing on flighting birds. This is a great example of the AE Grade. The case colors are near 50% remaining. The gun is tight on face and ready for the field. The butt stock appears to me to be a professional upgrade, with nicer wood than typically found on this grade.

W.W. Greener Empire grade super water fowl double! Top tang safety! Excellent clays or pigeon gun also!

Most W.W. Greener’s have their famous side safety, which although I don't really mind them, many do not care for. This extremely solid gun has excellent dimensions, a heavy proof, and rare for a Greener, a top tang safety!

The previous owner has graciously said he will provide the next owner with four box's (10 rd box's) of Kent Tungsten matrix for hunting where non-tox is the law.

I might note that with these high dimensions this would make an excellent sporting clays gun and or a live pigeon ring gun.

Did you read the great article recently in "The Double Gun Journal" on T. Page Wood? It gave them excellent reviews and history......

Good stock dimensions on this solid English double. Left choke is a bit tight for my liking as I like to eat my taken game. I am not big on lead poisoning. :)

We can open this choke for only $75.00 and get it done in only a few days normally. Need a longer LOP? We can add a pad for you.

This would make an excellent introduction to an English doubles at an extremely fair price.

Medium deep pitting in both bores. One significant dent in the right barrel 4 3/4" from the muzzle on the right barrel. Gun is off face and needs rejoining. Chequering is gone in places, would need full re-cut in a restoration. Keep in mind this is a true Prussian round top Sauer and it features the long action table. Good news is that the barrels will probably clean up with a back boring as they have excellent thick walls.

This gun is tight with great bores and ready for the field. Barrels ring like chimes and have great wall thickness. She carries her share of bruises and scrapes from a sporting life in the field but these do nothing to suppress her enthusiasm to be afield again. A great entry level shotgun for a first time SxS upland double gunner. Let this experienced mature French madame get you hooked on the double gun life! * You will see on the left barrel a stamp that says "Sauer." This for some unknown reason was added at some point in her history. This fine french shotgun is not a Sauer showing clear Saint Etienne French proofs.

Do you like French wine and food like me? If so you might consider a classic French double. The Manufrance "Ideal" with its amazing rising bite is a great choice.

Nicely restocked with good dimensions, great wall thickness, and solid chokes, this true trigger plate round action has a lot to offer. There is very light pitting in the bores which could easily be removed (or left). Featuring the classic "eye glass" trigger guard and nice long 29" chopper lump barrels. I love how these guns open by pulling back on the lever behind the trigger guard which is very ergonomic.

If you know me, you will know I love these guns. Give me a call and I would be glad to let you know why.

Charles Lancaster high grade 20 gauge boxlock with great dimensions.....

Charles Lancaster opened for business in the London trade as a barrel maker in 1811. He was considered one of the best and supplied barrels for John and Joseph Manton, James Purdey, and others. It was in approximately 1822 when history shows us that Charles was making complete sporting arms. The company has a very long and respected history that is quite fascinating. Go to: http://www.nramuseum.org/guns/the-galleries/modern-firearms-1950-to-present/case-57-still-more-guns/charles-lancaster-percussion-combination-gun.aspx

This little 20 gauge had great dimensions, weight and balance. The 28” barrels swing nicely and allow one to follow through, unlike some of the shorter barrel guns that can be (not always!) whippy. The London style rose and scroll engraving is of very high quality.

I believe this gun would be a super upland gun, one that could be carried all day without a drag on the arm but with enough heft to do the job it was built for.

This gun was sleeved in the USA, probably by Kirk Merrington (formally of Churchill’s) as it is a good job and he really is the only one in the US doing this process on a regular basis. For this reason the gun was not nitro proofed after sleeving but is certainly set up for nitro with these new and thick barrels.

This gun has great dimensions and balances like it is a much longer barreled gun. The wood is beautifully figured English walnut. This is an exceptionally elegant little 20g. at a great price.

This little beauty is a real value for the right person as it has a beautiful $3500.00 stock job done on it! The blue and metal are in excellent condition, the case hardening still maybe 40% remaining.

Note that this gun has auto ejectors, something that I believe was special order on field grades.

A very nice pre WWII combination gun by one of Germany's greatest makers. The 8x57JR ammunition is quite easy to get and not expensive to shoot. Quite a good amount of case color on this gun.
