This Dickson is as sound as they come and has new chopperlump barrels by Dickson proofed in London. In the USA right now there is a shortage of honest guns like this with excellent barrels. Note this comes in an oak and leather Marvin Huey case with eight french fitted tools and with case cover.

Classic Dickson round action. Great wood and dimensions. Light! These guns just blow me away as they are so elegant and suave and can you believe this was in 1881? I suppose a beauty then is a beauty today. Are we talking about woman or guns? Doesn't really matter! :)

I do like Scottish guns and this gun is no exception. Great balance, engraving, fit, and wood. It is getting very hard to find these guns in their original makers case with tools. A real collectible gun but also a very attractive gun to use proudly in the field. Notice the magnum 2 1/2" proof for 1 1/4 oz! Built @ 1904

This German gun has great full coverage engraving, side clips, cocking indicators, and extra grade wood work. Ivory inlays on the forend and drop points are a nice touch. I notice an ever so slight bulge behind the left choke only noticeable to a professional and should not be of concern. With a re-blue this could be removed.

This is a very beautiful little English boxlock by "The Purdey of the North" as the English like to fondly call this maker. Note the exceptional wood and game scenes! The pointing dogs have exceptional detail with hair and markings. Blow up a side picture and check them out! This fine gun comes in its original makers case with a really cool Pape trade label. Notice the engraving of the hammer gun on the trigger guard. I have never seen this before. Way cool.

J.P. Sauer Grade 17 - A worthy project gun ....
Boxlocks
12 gauge

Medium deep pitting in both bores. One significant dent in the right barrel 4 3/4" from the muzzle on the right barrel. Gun is off face and needs rejoining. Chequering is gone in places, would need full re-cut in a restoration. Keep in mind this is a true Prussian round top Sauer and it features the long action table. Good news is that the barrels will probably clean up with a back boring as they have excellent thick walls.

J.P. Sauer grade 40 in need of healing hands...
Boxlocks

This gun is a needy child but the original high grade quality might inspire! Bores are pitted fairly badly. Stock is a poor restock and has terrible dimensions anyway so could be used as a pattern to modify for a restock. Ejectors work fine, trigger pulls are ok. Some person we would like to incarcerate and castrate with my lawn mower buffed all the detail from the engraving so it would all need re-cutting as well as new screws. It is possible with a re-proof the gun could be used as is for a classic pick-up rack gun.

This is the lightest 16g. American gun I believe we have ever had in the shop. This gun has been well used with little blue left and has some light pitting in the bores in places (they are basically bright). Wood finish is thin and the pad needs replacing (I can hardly brave to look at it!) Still the light weight of this gun together with ejectors make it unique and worth a restoration or just left as is and used as an excellent rougher country upland gun. It is very tight on face and ready to shoot.

Near new in box; 99% colors and blue. See the pictures. A very nice 28g. for the money for sure! With this long length of pull we could make up to 15 7/8" for you tall people by adding a leather covered or Old English pad.

Wow! Is this gun light and extremely well made. I love it! Would be fun to leave .410 but could also be lined back to a rifle.

A very nice pre WWII combination gun by one of Germany's greatest makers. The 8x57JR ammunition is quite easy to get and not expensive to shoot. Quite a good amount of case color on this gun.
