This Holland Royal was finished in April 1901 and built for a Mr. Stebbins. In 1956 it went back to Holland’s and, though I can’t tell for sure from the work order, it appears to have been re-barreled as pattern tests were recorded on the work sheet. The single trigger is original to the gun built to the Holland patent. It works great! This gun comes cased in class in classic oak and leather. |

This is an outstanding example of what Rizzini can do when they want to build a best gun. Built in 1974 this gun was retailed as a model 57, the highest grade they made at that time. The equivalent gun of today would be their model R-1E. This gun features chopper lump barrels marked “Acciaio Special Bohler Blitz Steel” (The best Austrian steel). Note this gun has a single non selective trigger that operates perfectly! This gun comes in a beautiful Italian leather case with trade label. |

This gun was built in 1936 for Mr. Samuel Taylor of Pouchen End, Boxmoor, Hertfordshire. A letter from Evans accompanies the gun. Blue on this gun is 98% or better and the action has turned a nice gray patina with traces of case color remaining. Note the light weight of this gun! This is a gun I could carry all day. The swamped rib is a nice touch. This gun is cased with a correct label and is ready for a new owner to love and appreciate. A truly wonderful between the wars London gun. |

This has to be one of my all time favorite English guns we have had in in years and truly one of our best values. Cased in its makers oak and leather case with oil bottle this gun presents itself extremely well, as an investment, but even more as a gun of high condition and beauty. Best quality English scroll is still tastefully hard to see because of considerable case color remaining. We do not see much original case colors on guns from this period. A VERY elegant gun. Email me for high res additional pictures including in the vintage oak and leather case. |

This gun cased in its original makers case, is in outstanding condition. there is 80% original case color left on this gun and seeing that this gun was competed about 1907 that is outstanding. The wood, well check out the pictures! The wood is about as good as it gets. :) This is a great gun at any price. |

This is an interesting gun with nice features. The gun has been rather poorly stored for many years but is redeemable. The main thing to bring back its beauty is a proper re-blacking of the barrels. Woodward style engraving and fences are extremely well done. Bushed firing pins, chooperlump barrels, articulated front trigger are a few of the bells attached to this old but elegant madame.

Boss and Co. The name says a lot but also the elegant lines, wood, and craftsmanship speak. This Boss has seen some years and it shows with the metal of the action showing its forging lines and the first 6" of the inside tubes with rust pitting (which was present during the reproof). These kept in mind we are able offer this fine old lady at a greatly reduced price. Own and shoot a Boss on a micro beer budget! |

This gun has wonderful newer steel barrels by John Dickson. With over 13 3/4" LOP of wood we can add a pad to make the gun 14 3/4". On this grade of gun we recommend a leather covered pad. The cost for this is $300.00 and can be done in less than two weeks.
Henry Atkin is considered one of London's best makers. |

This is an outstanding example from one of Germany's premier pre-war gun makers. You do not see Reeb guns often as they did not make many but when you do see one they are always high grade to the highest standards. This one has a perfect Miller single trigger fitted. This would make a great late season pheasant gun when the temperature drops to the point a glove is in order. A prime time to love a single trigger! |

This gun is in excellent condition with 98% original case color and blue. Wood finish and condition is 90% or better. The gun comes with it makers case which is in nice condition. The extension is not a thing of beauty but we can remove it and have a nice pad or leather covered pad installed. The makers name is in gold on both sides of the action which is a nice touch. Notice this is an original 2 3/4" gun! A super value. |

This is a nice gun with which a little tuning would make a dandy. There is a small dent 9" from the muzzle on the right barrel that needs to be removed and a slight amount of pitting in each barrel that could be removed with a minimal amount of back bore. |

This is a nice light little English gun for the money. It comes up like a good English gun should and swings and balances as one with good taste would expect! There is some light pitting near the rib on the outside of the barrels but purely cosmetic and could be remedied with a new rust blue. |

As most of you may well know, I prefer vintage guns for my hunting and shooting. Looking over this gun, I came to the determination that if I were to shoot a modern gun, this gun would be a great candidate! What I liked right off was the gauge, 16. Second, I really liked the beautiful wood. With either the 20 or the 16 barrel set the gun balances beautifully, feeling lighter than the scale shows. This gun comes with its original box's and appears to be unfired. For a modern gun in this price range, this gun is beautifully made and finely fitted. |

The Gold name guns are a basic gun built on the patent Westley adaptation of the early Anson & Deeley's patent #8155. The addition of the Westley patent wide top lever which engages a bolt into the rib extension made it very Westley. This gun which serial numbers from 1889 was originally cold blued with just the gold name, no border or engraving.. Nice Damascus need to be rejoined to the action face before use. We can arrange to have this done. Comes cased in vintage leather Wesley case in rather tatty condition but still cool. |

An interesting 16. I have only seen one other Chamberlain. The wrist has a crack extending about 1 1/2" back on the right and left side following the grain in starting near the center of the wrist. This is very repairable infact I can tell it has been there for years the way it is and has seen a lot of use with it there.
Engraving behind the safety shows much wear but we could have this picked up very reasonable.

Great wood on this straight gripped DHE. Interesting that the gun was nitro proofed in Birmingham England for 2 3/4" nitro at 950 barr in 1986. Makers case and canvas cover included. For the tall man that needs a long length of pull this 20 DHE is ideal. Notice the Q1 and Q2 choking, very rare and desirable in a 26" DHE. |

We seldom get the pleasure of receiving such a high condition gun directly from the family of the man that purchased it new. Dating from 1934 this would be the first year of the Remington production but being the Parker name and address is on the rib I would suspect this gun was finished at Parker and just made the move.
We have interesting family history on this gun including the owners discharge papers in 1919 from the US Army. This is a prime example of a 28g. Parker that should tickle pink any true Parker collector.

This unique gun is featured in Double Gun Journal volume fourteen issue 1 Spring 2003 page 125, in an article entitled "Better Late Than Never."
If you do not have this issue, email me for a scan so you can read it. In brief, the Author found two Alex Henry rifles in a friend’s project corner in the white, apparently having never been finished. He with some trepidation took the bull by the horns and purchased both guns with the intent of finishing them to the highest standards of which Henry was famous. A great story and the results speak for themselves. The buyer of this gun will have first option on the second gun if and when the owner is ready to sell.
Interestingly, the author of the article on these guns had contacted Dickson, who now have the Alex Henry records. He never received a response. I decided it was worth a second try and contacted Dickson’s and this time had better results. Ross Ferguson there kindly looked up both of the guns in the article and was somewhat aghast when he noted there was no indication of either gun ever been finished and or sold. He said this was quite unusual. I did not lead him with information before my request so I explained to him that this is what I expected to hear! This gun, 7044, was ordered on September 28 1897 and noted as a .450 bore with no other information. The other rifle described in the article was ordered January 30 1899, again blank in the book except for the bore diameter of .450.
Here is a rare opportunity to own an unfired Alex Henry double rifle at a fair price and with a wonderful history. Email me for the high resolution pictures.

This is a very original gun sans maybe some varnish put over the wood later which has protected it. Notice the set triggers and peep sight! Many figure the Marlin to be superior in design to the Winchesters. If one has followed the accent of Winchester prices I believe these will be the next for a rapid appreciation. Get in while they are still reasonable! |

A classic side cock drilling, the best of all drilling designs and near identical to my personal all time favorite go to gun. These guns have a top tang safety as well as a peep sight! This gun came from the family that Grandfather bought the gun when new. The gun is still on face and has excellent shotgun bores. The rifle bore has some minor pitting but the rifling is strong and is very shootable. Unusually, we have a letter from the grandson of the original owner telling of some of its adventures with his grandpa. This of coarse goes with the gun. Call me and I will read it too you! |

This wall thickness gauge, complete with table clamping barrel vise, is the most accurate wall thickness gauge that we are aware of for the money (The next more accurate gauge is digital and costs over 2K). This gauge will measure 4 gauge through .410. It may look intimidating to use but let me assure you it is not. The secret and success of this gauge is in that the barrels are easily held suspended by the table clamped barrel vise. The gauge, once zeroed is slid over the barrel and quite easily moved back and forth while one just watches the gauge to read the actual barrel wall thickness. There is no math to do. The ingenious barrel holder allows you to easily rotate the barrels allowing you access to areas of the barrel near the ribs. On the vertical gauge this is quite difficult but on this gauge very easy. This gauge also has the feature of a finer pointed tip on the gauge allowing you to measure inside many pits. I cannot stress the value of having a quality wall thickness gauge if one is a serious collector and purchaser of high end double guns. THE FIRST GUN YOU REFUSE AS A RESULT OF USING THIS GAUGE PAYS FOR THE GAUGE MANY TIMES OVER. If you do not understand the significance of the last sentence, please reread it. We will not make any significant money selling these gauges. It is our intent to have educated buyers. It is our belief that our client’s best interests are also ours. Most all of our best clients already have this gauge but I would like to see all of our clients with one. These gauges were designed and hand built by Jon Hosford, a natural engineer, double gun lover, collector, and wing shooter (not to mention his appetite for fine red wine, scotch, and good food!) *I will have pictures of the gauge in use up soon. |

This is by a famous artist and it shows!
Allan Brooks was a naturalist and artist who illustrated many books in the early part of the twentieth century. He lived in a cabin on Okanagan Lake in British Columbia, studying and painting birds. In 1906, he painted illustrations for the The Birds of Washington by William Leon Dawson, which was published in 1909. Eventually he illustrated thousands of birds from around the world. This gun is in proof with bores that measure .720 proofed at 13. Gun needs tightening before being shot. Barrels appear solid but some pitting in the bores, blue almost gone, and several small dings, Wood has a coat of heavy varnish that I would strip and put a natural oil finish on. An easy project. |
