Charles Daly Prussian 10g. in excellent original condition ( G. Lindner gun) What a great classic double for a bargain price ~ All 9 1/2 pounds! Hammerguns 10 gauge |
4833 1691 |
|
This is a stout Prussian Daly built by G. Lindner. His guns are considered some of the best sporting guns produced by Germany during his time. I would estimate this gun to be built in the early 1890's. This gun locks up vault tight with excellent Damascus barrels which are nice and bright with only an extremely light frost on the inside. *Note the beautiful Damascus pattern! |

James Woodward "Best" snap action (forward underlever) hammer double Hammerguns 12 gauge |
5168 3397 |
|
Built in 1876 this fine Woodward features the 29" barrels and snap action they are so well known for. The wood on this gun I would describe as "exhibition." The barrels are in beautiful condition with only a very small amount of minor pitting in both barrels near the muzzle where there is no pressure. I love the feel of this fine shotgun between the hands. The forward underlever has always been a favorite of mine as they are out of the way and easy to use. |

Holland & Holland super unique and ergonomic self cocking hammer double ~ Makers Case! Hammerguns 12 gauge |
5126 4117 |
|
What a cool gun. Nitro proofed in London at .722 which it still now measures perfectly in both barrels so untouched since proof. Thin wall where there is little pressure in some pitting in the right barrel 26" from breech so no worries. I can text a video showing how this patent works. We have never seen an example of this system, nor any of our British expert friends, but we have to say it is perhaps the smoothest self cocking hammer gun system we have ever operated. Gun comes with its really cool vintage maker's case with vintage H&H snap caps and oil bottle. Over 1K value alone.

Charles Boswell 12ga Classsic Live Pigeon gun of superb highest quality Hammerguns 12 gauge |

Boswell is famous for their live pigeon guns, and this is a fine example. Built in 1883 as it clearly has the first year Strand st. address in London. Excellent bores with little choke as choke at this point while known was not popular quite yet. *Note The extra thick wall thickness and the high stock dimensions intended intentionally for rising targets. This gun is not a wall hanger by any means but a highest grade pigeon gun that needs to go to a shooter that will put it to use. |

George Gibbs is a very well respected name in the English gun world. This example is tight and ready for the field. The gun was proofed at 13/1 in both barrels (this is .719 to .729 ) and both barrels measure .722 so this gun is well in proof. This gun dates from 1915. |

Great min. wall thickness and nitro 2 3/4" proofs with great dimensions are real positives for this shotgun. The engraving does shows considerable wear but otherwise this is a great gun. There is some very light places of fine pitting in the bores but nothing of consequence. The Damascus to sleeving was done in Birmingham England in 1971 as recorded on the proof marks. We have given it a super low price so we can get more people on board with shooting English hammer guns in the field. |

Calibre: 12-bore Barrels: 28½in. Whitworth Choke: Plain & ‘Choke’ Stock: 14¼in. He said this is the first one he as ever seen with a sidelever! The original makers case is really cool! *Note the light weight at 6lbs. 2.5 oz. |

Holland & Holland Royal Grade -The top of the line Holland! Hammerless Sidelocks 12 gauge |

|
A classic Holland Royal with excellent walls, great stock dimensions, and is perfectly balanced at 6 lbs. 9 oz.. I appreciate the 30" barrels and if we opened up the right barrel to IC this would make an ideal upland gun. This gun was built between 1898 and 1900. We will have the exact date soon from the Holland records. If it dates to before 1899 it could be shipped direct without the need of an FFL.

I have a particular love of the Holland back action sidelocks as they are extremely ergonomic featuring a rounded action combined with high craftsmanship and balance. This example features high grade features such as high grade (royal grade) engraving and hand detachable sidelocks. Beautifully cased with tools. An exceptional Holland for a wonderful price. Records show this gun was completed in 1901. *For a longer length of pull the butt plate can be easily removed and replaced with a leather covered pad. |

What a great Holland. Featuring hand detachable locks and great dimensions this will make a tremendous gun for the field. A very nice side lock ejector from between the wars. Powell records show this gun was built for a Capt. H. Wykeham 11 August 1919 . The gun is tight in excellent condition and needs nothing. *Note the choking which will put many birds in your game bag. This is almost the exact choking I use in my favorite game gun and gets excellent results and to be honest, I am a mediocre shot at best. |

What a lovely London sidelock from circa 1900. F.T. Baker guns I have noted over the years tend to have exceptional engraving and this one is no exception. This gun offers excellent modern stock dimensions and chokes that will kill clays or birds with regularity. *This gun was proofed for 2 1/2" but because for many years 2 1/2" shells were not available in America its chamber was lengthened to 2 3/4" so it could be continued to be used here in the USA. Joseph Lang London Sidelock with wonderful wood and dimensions Hammerless Sidelocks 12 gauge |
4793 16773 |
|
A beautiful high-grade London sidelock with tight and excellent steel barrels and stunning wood. Need I say more? This gun has near perfect choking for most wild bird upland hunting. Normally this gun would be in the 6-8K range but due to some very minor surface pitting in places on the action (see the pictures, super minor) we can offer this beauty for only 4600.00. A super London high grade sidelock at almost a boxlock price. For the hunter that wants a high-quality gun that he or she is not afraid to take in the field this is a super opportunity. After seeing my write up on this gun received this email from our famous hunting/naturalist gun writer friend concerning this gun: Wow Kirby, What a beautiful gun. I love Lang guns. You forgot to mention in the write up that it is stocked to the fences, and has absolutely perfect chokes for a game gun. Cheers, George |

High quality, light but not too light for a 12, and with great dimensions for most. Built in the end of 1923 these between the war shotguns are considered by the British gun trade to be of the best they ever made. Don't let the minimal engraving fool you. This is a quality shotgun.

The Holland "Climax" or "Dominion" grade sidelocks like this are a favorite of mine as they have a wonderful radiused, almost round action and tend to be very well balanced. This example, built in the mid 1880's has great wall thickness and choking and is tight on face and field ready. There is some very light pitting or hazing in the barrels but nothing of any consequence. *Note the beautiful English walnut stock! |

Featuring my favorite barrel length of 29" this beautiful sidelock is in great shape and will be a shotgun that will be carried with pride, at least, I know I would! Tight and in proof this fine stocked to the fences sidelock balances and handles extremely well. This one passes my joy to hold between my hands with my eyes closed test! This my friends is a tremendous shotgun for the money. |

This is a very nice English between the wars (~1927) sidelock for a super price. Don't be put off the by the extension or the long length of pull as we can remove the extension and have a checkered butt done or a pad added instead of the extension for a very nominal charge to achieve a LOP that will work for you. This gun being near 100 years old and still retain over 50% original case color is remarkable. It handles well and is tight on face with excellent bores. *Note the excellent choking for upland birds which I will guarantee will put more birds in your bag! |

This is a very nice well made English sidelock. Built circa 1913 this shotgun is tight and field ready. For those of us that understand the beauty of open chokes you will appreciate this shotgun. I see some (just a few) very minor pitting in places inside both barrels. The barrels are basically very bright and clean. |

This small maker claims they have been in business since 1795!
A well-made sidelock that won't break the bank compared to buying one of the big four London makers. This gun features wonderful engraving and a Purdey style hidden third bite. Note the Long LOP extendable with a pad to near 16". The triggers are a bit soft for my liking but useable. We could recommend a gunsmith to crispen them up if they are not to your liking. |

Wm. Atkinson & Sons~ Lancaster, Kendel, and Morecambe ~ A lovely 30" barreled English sidelock for a great price Hammerless Sidelocks 12 gauge |
3465 3155 |
|
This gun features nitro proofed 30" barrels with mirror bores. Other features include auto ejectors, tight on face barrels to action, and excellent modern stock dimensions cut from a very nice piece of English walnut. The left choke is tighter than many (like me) might want it but remember we can have chokes opened very reasonably. Also, if you need a longer LOP we can provide excellent English style leather covered pads up to 1". This is a very nice example of an English sidelock. It is well balanced and feels great between the hands as any well made gun should. I did not know much of this maker so I did some sleuthing on internet and actually found quite a lot: Built between 1901 and 1905 by address's on rib William Atkinson was the son of Joseph Atkinson of Lancaster. He was born in 1851. By 1871 William had joined his father in the business in Lancaster, but in about 1874 he opened his own business at 52 Stricklandgate, Kendal, Westmoreland; in about 1878 this moved to 8 All Hallows Lane. There may have been a branch of the firm in Preston. In 1874 William and his wife (Eleanor b. 1850) had a son, Joseph Harvey Atkinson, and in 1876 another, Arthur Falder Atkinson (both born in Kendal), they both worked in the business as gunmaker's assistants, there were also had two daughters born in Kendal, Edith (b.1873) and Maud (b.1878) who appear to have worked in the business. In 1881 Joseph Atkinson retired and William took over the business in Lancaster re-naming it William Atkinson. In about 1885 the firm moved to 20 Market Street, between 1890 and 1901 they took over the adjoining premises at 18 Market Street. Between 1890 and 1894 the business in Kendal moved to 58 Highgate. Joseph Atkinson died in the late 1890s, and in 1900 the firm Lancaster business was re-named William Atkinson & Sons. By this time the firm had a substantial trade in bicycles. In about 1901 a branch was opened at 11 Skipton Street, Morecambe, Lancashire. This was probably run by one of the sons, it appears to have closed in about 1905. Between 1901 and 1905 the Kendal business became known as Atkinson & Griffin, it appears to have ceased trading in 1925. Between about 1905 and 1909 the firm in Lancaster occupied premises in North Road. In about 1935 the firm moved to 26 Market Street, Lancaster, but the Lancaster business appears to have closed in 1940. In 1955 Thomas Atkinson & Sons was recorded at 19a Stricklandgate, Kendal. Thomas Atkinson was certainly related, perhaps only distantly. The firm appears to have closed in about 1985. |

Army & Navy Sidelock built by W.C. Scott ~ a well-made gun at a great price Hammerless Sidelocks 12 gauge |
3959 49538 |
|
Existing Army & Navy records show this sidelock was built in 1908 by W.C. Scott. Great dimensions and I really like how this gun opens and closes. It feels like a gun that would be appreciated in the field.
*You know this old girl has seen plenty of service and she does show some scars in handling marks in the wood and blue thinning in places. She would be a great candidate for a light restoration or used and appreciated as is. This gun I noted when first operated did not have auto ejectors. I really like this as having auto ejectors is really one more thing to go wrong and truly in the upland field unnecessary. I will get some flack over this, I am sure! I will agree to disagree. |

A very nice sidelock for the price of a boxlock due to the less known name. Carr Brothers started in 1878 on Cloth Hall St., Huddersfield, Yorks. P. Webley was the company that joined with W.C. Scott to form Welbey and Scott, one of the largest English gun makers in the English gun making history. In my experience the P. Webley guns were all of very high quality. This gun is in proof and thin minimum walls are out near the muzzle where they should be and where there is very little pressure. We have priced this gun attractively for this reason and if you are interested in this gun, I suggest you call and buy it so you can examine it in person and take advantage of our five day inspection and free return shipping if it does not meet your needs for any reason. *Note the weight which is the same as most English 16g. guns. |

Army & Navy Sidelock by W.C. Scott with great bones and a worthy project Hammerless Sidelocks 12 gauge |
4896 58342 |
|
This gun is discounted due to the light greying and fine pitting on both locks and a little on the barrels and a gunsmith pointed out to us recently that the ribs need to be relayed as the barrels do not ring well. The bones of this gun are good with great wall thickness and bores on the barrels which are tight on face. A rib relay with new black is about 800.00 via Dan Morgan, our gunsmith. Thirty-inch guns this light with good dimensions are hard to come by so this gun is worth the time and money to make into a great field gun.

John Dickson & Son of Edinburgh Scotland ~ A super light weight and well balanced shotgun from between the wars ~ 6 lbs. even Boxlocks 12 gauge |

Completed in 1930 this sexy little Scottish shotgun will make any upland hunter proud. It is tight on face and ready for the field. I might suggest opening up the left choke to .015 or so to put more birds in the bag. Of course, perhaps your one of those bird hunters that likes having full choke in the left barrel and that is fine. I can agree to disagree with you. :)

This gun despite its years is tight on face and has bright bores. I can see some very light and minimal pitting in places that is hardly noticeable. This gun is light and has great dimensions for a gun with 30" barrels and a nice long stock. The extension appears to be Ebony. In its makers vintage case this a great package. *I almost forgot to mention that being completed in 1883 it qualifies as antique and can be shipped direct. |

Beesley & Son, London and inscribed on rib "Made for J.P. Graham, Cockermouth" Boxlocks 12 gauge |
4592 62845 |
|
Beesley and Son, London. I assumed when I purchased this gun that it was a Frederick Beesley gun. The man that invented the Purdey self-opener action still in use today by Purdey. Now I am not so sure. I have spent the last half an hour researching but not finding anything specific about Beesley & Son. There is much about Frederick but not about his later years and when his son may have joined the firm. Anyone want to educate the me on this maker? This certainly is a quality shotgun with some nice features such as the higher-grade Anson and Deeley double seared action and with bushed firing pins. The barrels were proofed in London and remain in proof. The gun is tight and well balanced. The name on the rib also had me a bit intrigued so I had to do an internet search. I did not really expect to find much but as it turns out, J.P. Graham was not only an individual but the name of a well-established Gun and fishing tackle supply store. I found a picture of an invoice from this interesting little business online and have attached it here. The town name also was a place I had never heard of so I had to look that up. I have to say I don't think I would want to tell people I was from "Cockermouth." What a name. Sounds like something my mother might call me after I said something naughty and would result in a mouth full of soap. The name does have much logic to it as the town is located at the mouth of the Cocker river where it empties into the river Derwent in Cumbria. |

This early 1890's boxlock has a lot of class! Tight on face and field ready. I love the period engraving. I hope it did not belong to the Sherrif of Nottingham. He was a bad guy. *This gun predates 1899 so we can ship direct. |

Webley made a very large number of these because they became very well known for being well made for an affordable price. This example obviously has seen good use but despite its handling marks and fading blueing is still as tight as the day it was built and has very good trigger pulls. A great backup gun or introduction to vintage boxlocks. I particularly like the ergonomic feel of the Prince of Wales grip on this gun. |

"The Transvaal Gun" Interesting English double that will be very affective in the field Boxlocks 12 gauge |
5117 124905 |
|
On the rib on this English boxlock it says, "The Transvaal Gun" and also on the rib "Specially made for C. Lefever, Bloemhof. Transvaal being a former province in South Africa. It would be interesting to research further to learn more about Mr. Lefever. With 30" nitro steel barrels and modern rising bird stock dimensions I believe many will find this vintage shotgun very effective in the field. Interesting that Bloemhof is a diamond mining area in South Africa. Wikipedia records: "It was founded in August 1864 when diamonds were discovered in the area.[4] The town was established on the farm owned by John Barclay, who survived the HMS Birkenhead shipwreck in 1852. The place became known as Bloemhof (flower court) because of the lovely gardens that were planted by Barclay's daughter. In June 1869, the South African Republic's Volksraad created a new district called Bloemhof named after the town itself.[" |

Great barrels and wall thickness on this James Lang. I note that she has bushed firing pins, a higher grade feature. *This has great choking for upland game, wood cock, and grouse. Mortimer and Son ~ George Street, Edinburgh, classic vintage Scottish boxlock from 1895 ~ No FFL needed, can ship direct Boxlocks 12 gauge |
3173 7452 |
|
This Scottish gun from Edinburgh while appearing worn on the outside is actually a fairly stout and strong gun. The barrels are tight on face (they ring beautifully) and the bores quite nice being bright and free of any heavy pitting. What there is extremely fine and could easily be polished out if desired. The gun was nitro proofed in 1968 according to the proof marks on the flats. Obviously ready for the field as is but this would be a fun one to give a new oil finish to the wood and with a light pick up of the checkering. I would have the barrels browned by Buck Hamlin to bring back their former beauty. *For those that will ask: That is a scratch on the surface of the stock on the right side of the butt stock near the butt, not a crack. It would be gone if properly oil finished. |

Having no cast either way allows this gun to be shot from either way, left shoulder, or right. The gun is tight on face. The stock extension can obviously be removed and replaced with a recoil pad to get most LOP's. The safety feels a little gummy so I suspect could use a good cleaning. Priced as is as we have no time to do this but we can recommend a gunsmith we have locally, or you could do it yourself. This gun was sleeved by Westley Richards. Check out the engraving! |

Westley Richards we found in the back of our vault ~ Jim said did the cat drag it in from the sewer? Boxlocks 12 gauge |
4707 T9140 |
|
We found this in the back of the vault and thought we should find a home for it. Actually tight on face and in proof. The bores are bright and shiny. The minimal wall thickness is thicker than most in fact very thick for this vintage shotgun. That's the good points! Sadly the barrels in the second half towards the muzzle have considerable pitting probably caused by being put away wet in a case. The stock has numerous handling marks. The wood could be easily refinished but striking the barrels you may only get about 80% of the pitting. Or you might get it all. It is very functional as is so I would use it as a rainy day gun and do nothing to it! |

John Robertson (Boss & Co.) 16g boxlock in its makers case ~ Boxlocks 16 gauge |
5052 8523 |
|
It is often thought Boss never produced any boxlocks, but in fact they did. On page 188 of "Boss & Co., Builders of the Best Guns Only" the author, Donald Dallas said: "Before World War I the British market was dominant, but this changed to the American market after the war. Some boxlocks were produced for the first time in the history of the firm. These boxlocks, of superb quality, were usually sold bearing the name "Robertson."" Our example, dating from circa 1938, is a fine and extremely rare in 16g. rare example of the Boss "Robertson" boxlock's. Tight as a tick and field ready. It is found in its original Boss case. |

Manufrance Ideal Grade 2R ~ This is the Classic French Round Action Boxlocks 16 gauge |
3557 18276 |
|
Built on a unique but 100% trigger plate action this is a gun that I have always been intrigued with. I like everything about them except for the safe which is located to the right and left of the trigger guard. It functions fine but I don't find them as ergonomic as the top safe. So, despite the safety, I still shoot, promote and get excited about these guns as they are worth having, shooting and appreciating due to their great balanced round action and features. This grade and higher feature a rising bite third fastener similar to the coveted Rigby rising third bite. The pull back lever behind the trigger guard opens the gun and is extremely ergonomic. It is out of the way and very easy to operate. |

Army & Navy 16g. boxlock ~ very light with long nitro proofed Damascus barrels with modern dimensions Boxlocks 16 gauge |

If you know me at all you know my favorite gauge for the field is 16g. I just returned from shooting wild pheasant and quail in eastern Oregon and I cannot tell you how pleased I was on how my little 16g. performed with 7/8 oz. of shot. If I did my part they dropped dead. No flapping, no running. This little gun, perhaps with a little tuning of the chokes, would make an ideal upland bird gun. This gun was built between 1896 and 1900 so am researching it and if it was made before 1899 we will be able to ship direct to most states instead of to an ffl. These Damascus barrels have been blued but would look stunning if browned for pattern. I would recommend Buck Hamlin. He does awesome work and is timely. |

Gustav Kerstan 16 ga. with unique lock up ~ For the shotgunner that likes to show up with something completely different! (But effective!) Boxlocks 16 gauge |
2983 13637 |

This is one of the most unique side by side shotguns we have ever had in the shop. Many have heard of the "Kerstan" rib extension extra bite. This patent is still in use today by Merkel on their best over and unders. This Kerstan marked example is a double Kerstan bite on a horizontal profile. An extremely strong and unusual prewar 16g. side by side that weighs under 6 lbs. but carries 29" Krupp barrels. The condition is quite good although there is some light pitting in each bore. I have shot this gun and I have to say it handles extremely well. This is from my personal collection, and I often referred to this gun as my "Hammer head shark" gun! |

Jackson Gunmaker of Nottingham ~28g. English guns are so rare we are pleased to offer this little gem ~ Gift for Grandson or granddaughter? Boxlocks 28 gauge |

Completed approximately in 1902 this petite double is tight and has great nitro proofed steel barrels. The LOP with a 1" pad would be 13 3/4". We could have our pad man put a 1/4" spacer to make it an even 14". ***A 28g. double gives a much better pattern than a .410 so makes a much better first double for a young shooter. |

What a great little double gun. C.S. Rosson was a great maker in Norwich England on Rampant Horse street. Wonder how that street got its name? This gun was built between the great wars in 1933. The LOP could be lengthened with a recoil pad to make the LOP almost 14 5/8". The right side of the action the wood has been properly reinforced with dowels to strengthen the stock. |

Manufrance "Ideal" Combination 12g. shotgun/12g. rifle Model # 320 S ~ The French "Round Action" Boxlocks Caliber |
5027 70804 |
|
I have hunted with and I guess will admit to collecting these Manufrance French trigger plate double guns for years. They still fascinate me. This great example features chopperlump barrels and the retractable in-stock sling which works perfect. The Rifled barrel is excellent and sharp. The shotgun barrel appears mirror when examined from the breech but when inspected from the muzzle I can see some light pitting in places. Only cosmetic but I want you all to know it is there. This gun is in very nice condition with much original case color remaining. I am told you can shoot shot out of the rifled barrel also so can still be used as a double barrel shotgun. |

Featuring near 90% original case color and near perfect bores this is a stunning little hammer double rifle. No markings on the gun indicating caliber but the measurement's of a the chamber cast show it remarkably close to our 38-55 Winchester so there is very good chance this brass could be used. See scan of chamber cast and measurements. Keep in mind that chambers are usually slightly over size to actual brass dimensions to prevent sticking.

Kreighoff Drilling in 12ga x 9.3x72R ~ Bright bores and sharp rifling Drillings, Double Rifles, and Rifles Caliber |
4857 11225 |
|
This is a pre WWII Sempert and Kreighoff drilling in good condition and field ready. We do have some of this brass in stock and I believe some dies also for reloading for sale here in the shop. The 9.3x72R was before WWII the most common center fire boar/deer hunting cartridge in Europe. I have heard it said it is the "30-30" of Europe as it was so common but in ballistics it is a much better brush (100 yard or under ) cartridge than the 30-30. The 180-220 grain bullets certainly throws a much better punch at about 2000fps. The bores on these drillings are typically .360 and many have found the American 35 caliber bullets work very well in these guns. Do note that some of the commercially available ammunition has bullet dimeters of .366 should not be fired in these pre war guns. The brass can be used however and in most cases fits perfectly. |

Hosford and Co. Wall thickness gauge Men's Collectibles 10 gauge |
1158 |
|
This wall thickness gauge, complete with table clamping barrel vise, is the most accurate wall thickness gauge that we are aware of for the money (the next more accurate gauge is digital and costs over 2K). This gauge will measure 4 gauge through .410. It may look intimidating to use but let me assure you it is not. The secret and success of this gauge is in that the barrels are easily held suspended by the table clamped barrel vise. The gauge, once zeroed is slid over the barrel and quite easily moved back and forth while one just watches the gauge to read the actual barrel wall thickness. There is no math to do. The ingenious barrel holder allows you to easily rotate the barrels allowing you access to areas of the barrel near the ribs. On the vertical gauge this is quite difficult but on this gauge very easy. This gauge also has the feature of a finer pointed tip on the gauge allowing you to measure inside many pits. I cannot stress the value of having a quality wall thickness gauge if one is a serious collector and purchaser of high end double guns. THE FIRST GUN YOU REFUSE AS A RESULT OF USING THIS GAUGE PAYS FOR THE GAUGE MANY TIMES OVER. If you do not understand the significance of the last sentence, please reread it. We will not make any significant money selling these gauges. It is our intent to have educated buyers. It is our belief that our client’s best interests are also ours. Most all of our best clients already have this gauge but I would like to see all of our clients with one. These gauges were designed and hand built by Jon Hosford, a natural engineer, double gun lover, collector, and wing shooter (not to mention his appetite for fine red wine, scotch, and good food!)
See Jon's gauge in use and learn how to use it on youtube by typing in a search on youtube: “Hosford & Co., Shotgun barrel gauge, Part 1” or clicking this url: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jQZn4kohH4 Please contact Jon to buy: https://www.hosfordco.com/tools-measuring-1/wall-thickness-guage info@hosfordco.com 734-769-5660 |

Dibold Bank Vault out of a Wenatchee bank Men's Collectibles Other |

This is a large vault out of an old bank near us. We have been storing it inside for years thinking we would build it into a new building for our business. We have decided this will not happen so need to move this along to someone that will use it. This would make an awesome walk in gun/valuables safe or use the door and frame for a walk in vault room. This is a bargain and am selling it for basically what we have in it as we need the space. It is open and unlocked. The combination can be changed by a professional locksmith we were told when we purchased it over ten years ago. It is very heavy being 4K to 6k pounds so a heavy duty truck with a fork lift would be needed to pickup. condition: good make / manufacturer: Dibold locks size / dimensions: 49.75" W x 40" D x 86" H

Mortimer and Son ~ George Street, Edinburgh, classic vintage Scottish boxlock from 1895 ~ No FFL needed, can ship direct Rust & Dust 12 gauge |
|

Charles Osborne Birmingham boxlock awaiting someone to take it afield. Rust & Dust 12 gauge |

Army & Navy Sidelock by W.C. Scott with great bones and a worthy project Rust & Dust 12 gauge |
|

A cool vintage English double hammer gun with nitro proofs. The upper rib is loose and needs to be re-soldered. The gun is extremely tight. The bores are very bright and shiny with only some very minor pitting. A fun restoration project or would look great as is over the rock fireplace in your hunting lodge. Price includes shipping direct to your address in the lower states. |

Dart is priceless and covers the dog and bird hunting aspects of Vintagedoubles. He is our hero in the field, being an incredible pointer with the best nose of any dog I have ever hunted over. We seem to have a problem keeping him off the kitchen counters if there are any tasty morsels left there.... ....No one is perfect!

No cast on this fine shotgun so could be shot by a left- or right-handed person. The long 30" tubes are impressive with excellent min. wall thickness. Great stock dimensions for most. Excellent engraving and has bushed firing pins. The large pad/extension could be removed and replaced with a standard 1" pad and have LOP of 14 1/2".

George Gibbs 12g Top Lever with Low Rebounding Hammers, Steel nitro proofed barrels Left-handed Guns 12 gauge |

George Gibbs is a very well respected name in the English gun world. This example is tight and ready for the field. The gun was proofed at 13/1 in both barrels (this is .719 to .729 ) and both barrels measure .722 so this gun is well in proof. This gun dates from 1915. |

Job Trevitt ~ A small maker English hammer double with good dimensions and 2 3/4" nitro proof Left-handed Guns 12 gauge |
4541 7801 |
|
Great min. wall thickness and nitro 2 3/4" proofs with great dimensions are real positives for this shotgun. |

This Coggy 20 is very clean and is tight and handles well. Note all the remaining case color and blue. The stock has 1/4" cast at the comb as at the heel to accommodate a shorter neck and wider face like mine. It comes up great on me! To bad I am hooked on 16g. guns or it would be one for me to keep. |
