G.E. Lewis Massive 8 bore double "The Gun of The Period" ~ Want a really big gun?
Hammerguns
8 gauge

This is an excellent example of an classic English water fowl double. Nice bores and tight this gun is marsh or turkey terrain ready! (Hey, Hell may freeze over and our politicians may revoke the 8 bore gun ban for water fowl shooting). As I understand it, the law made sense when it was created as their was no harvest limits then but when limits were the new law, the bore size law became obsolete but was never revoked.

Most English double or single 8 bores we get in are basic unadorned lower grade guns but let me be clear this gun is not that way. This gun is much higher quality in all ways. The wood is higher grade, the engraving is exceptional, and the barrels are beautiful and struck perfectly. Their is 16"of lettering down the rib expounding on all the awards this maker has won. This is a golden opportunity to own a high grade English double eight. Remember, their is never anything wrong with having the biggest gun in the room. :)

*Note the great high and modern stock dimension and also the 37" barrels!

* We have some unfired 8 gauge hulls to go with this gun. Free shipping anywhere in the lower 48 states.

Parker Brothers MASSIVE 10g. ~ Quality 1 on a #4 Frame in high condition
Hammerguns
10 gauge

This is a fabulous extra large 10g. in wonderful condition. Note the factory letter. They made very few of these 36" barrel 10g. guns on the massive #4 frame.

The factory letter tells us that this behemoth was ordered by a E.G. Bucker on May 13th 1891.

The condition is excellent. Only some very light pitting in the massive thick bores which could easily be removed or used as is. The locks and hammer retain over 50% case color. From a gun from 1891 this is remarkable and a sign it has seen very little use. The wood is in nice condition also featuring no cracks or repairs that we can determine. The screws are all excellent including the screws in the original Parker dogs head butt plate which appears to have never been removed. The top lever is the sought after snaked style.

If you like big guns this is the gun for you. When I first unpacked it I thought it was an 8g. !

Barrel's weigh 6 lbs. 6 oz. action and forend 4 lbs. 13 1/4 oz. 11 lbs. 3 1/4 oz. total bores left .797 and right .799

A very original and rare double this Boss is a true find. The wall thickness is excellent although there is considerable pitting in the bores. It is possible with this great wall thickness the barrels could be back bored and have the pitting removed.

Harris Holland exceptional top lever hammer with stunning marble cake wood ~ Harris was the founder of Holland & Holland
Hammerguns

Exceptional 12g. 30” barreled Harris Holland of 98 New Bond Street London. Yes, this is the firm as we all know as Holland & Holland. Harris had a nephew Henry Holland which was an apprentice to the firm and when Harris retired in 1876 he took Henry as partner and changed the name to Holland & Holland. Wonderful history but what is really important here is they made and still make some of the best guns in the world. This example is in excellent condition. Featuring 30” highest quality Damascus and much case color and finish remaining, with bores that make mirrors jealous. This example is a gun that one can appreciate for its quality, its history, but most of all for how it feels and swings between the hands. RST shotgun shells would be perfect for this wonderful shotgun. See them at www.rstshells.com. Once you start shooting a quality hammer double you won’t look back. A true bargain .

Thomas Bland "Euoplia" Shot and Ball gun ~ This is one cool shotgun, or is it a rifle? It is both!
Hammerguns

This shotgun rifle like the Holland Paradox and the Lancaster Oval bore and the Westley Explora was a successful building of a double barrel that could hunt big game and be used for bird shooting also. Like the Lancaster, this Bland uses very shallow almost imperceptible twist in the bore to give the bullet its spin.

The gun is in very good original condition. there is some very minor pitting in places but nothing at all major to be concerned about.

*Note the thick minimum walls and the good stock dimensions.

We don't see these very often and if you need one you should grab this one up as it is a tight gun, in proof, and ready to shoot. Jason and I both lifted this gun to our shoulder with our eye's closed and it came right up with the left eye looking straight down the rib.

*There is some light pitting in the right barrel but nothing deep and was certainly was there when it was nitro proofed.

This is a great little English 28g hammer gun. Nice bores, 2 3/4" nitro proofs, and great stock dimensions.

28g. English doubles are extremely rare and finding a nitro proofed hammer double is beyond rare. I have shot this petite flower and as most of you know I am a lousy shot at best and you know I was breaking clays! Unbelievable but true. Right Clyde?
