Built about 1911 this quality sidelock is tight and has barrels that ring like church Bells having recently had its barrel ribs relayed by artisan gunsmith Jon Hosford. The barrels lock up tight. The gun features bushed firing pins, a feature generally only found on high grade guns.

*The bores are super on this fine sidelock but due to some very light corrosion on the fences on the outside of the gun we can sell the wonderful gun at the same price as a basic boxlock. A super value for a gun that will perform in the field for many years to come.

A great value option to own a Churchill. Made for 1932 between the wars. Light and nimble for a 12ga. Good dimensions for many, plus a 1" pad could be easily added for a LOP up to 15 3/8".

*Note the weight! This gun would restore well or is ready as is to hit the fields and forest. She is tight!

Thomas Newton 48 Kings Street West Manchester, a city more famous for its football (soccer) team that its gun making. This would have been a proud product of Manchester in its day with London style sidelocks and floral engraving. Completed between the wars in 1927. A very high quality gun.

*Both barrels have significant pitting that probably could not be removed with honing. A great candidate for Briely sub gauge tubes.

Well, what can I say? It is all there! and appears tight. There is some light pitting in the bores but they are very thick barrels. I see a small dent near the left muzzle that could be repaired.

A Greener GP martini action to play around with. The barrel doesn't fit tight and the stock is cracked. Not shootable as-is. These actions are strong and would make a great start to a custom rifle.........

OK, the not great first. The bores have pitting but not enough to be a safety concern. The barrels are almost a silver gray with almost all the blue gone. The positive is the rifle bore is very good, and the barrels are tight to the action. The wood, while really sound could use a new oil finish, is very beautiful. A great project gun or one to reload for and hunt with as is.

*No! I don't have any brass or ammunition for this gun.

*Proof marks show the gun was proofed in Germany in 1930.
