Built about 1911 this quality sidelock is tight and has barrels that ring like church Bells having recently had its barrel ribs relayed by artisan gunsmith Jon Hosford. The barrels lock up tight. The gun features bushed firing pins, a feature generally only found on high grade guns. *The bores are super on this fine sidelock but due to some very light corrosion on the fences on the outside of the gun we can sell the wonderful gun at the same price as a basic boxlock. A super value for a gun that will perform in the field for many years to come. |

This beautiful and @1885 shotgun is in need for some tlc. It is slightly off face and the right ejector does not work. We have plenty to do here so we are selling it as is for another to have some fun with. Nitro proofed in 1959 at .729 and still remains in proof at .737 in both barrels 9" from the breech *Exceptional engraving and sound and beautiful wood. The bores appear mirror from the breech end but examined from the muzzle end I do see some light pitting. It is a small thing, but the left barrel has a small dent that could be easily lifted about 10" from the muzzle. I just like to list everything I see. *Built in 1885 this qualifies as antique so we can ship direct, no ffl needed. |

We are cleaning out the vault preparing for a new shipment so stay tuned for a few project guns like this. Thick walls on this one but with some dings and scratches. There is some pitting in the bores, but it does not look too deep. The gun needs rejoining and the wood refinished and of course the Damascus re-browned would be nice! A true project but priced to go! *The gun at one time had a leather covered cheek piece. This would be filled in with wood and died to match or even a pad put back like it was originally. |
